Why You Should Be Allowed Bring Your Pet To Work

A study carried out last year by the University of Lincoln (UK) showed that bringing your dog to work can have a significantly positive impact on your work day. It measured parameters such as employees’ engagement and wellbeing or their control over decisions at work. It revealed that people who take their dog to work report increased absorption in their work by a 33.4% and in their dedication to their job by 16.5%.

With that in mind we want to talk about the five reasons we think bringing your pet to work is a great idea.

1: Motivation

Pets at work can be great motivators as they have been proven to reduce stress letting you get on with your work day and accomplishing more.

2: Happier

The whole office mood changes when a pet is nearby that’s because they are always open to a cuddle, chilled out and the best company to keep.

3: Your Pet Isn’t Home Alone

You no longer have to stress about looking after them. No more rushing home to find the couch destroyed or you shoes in several places. Plus they make a great company on the work commute.

4: Brings Teams Closer Together

Bringing a pet to work can promote a positive social interaction as your pets get to know other animals you get to know other owners.

5: Company Will Attract Likeminded Staff

Letting pets into the office can be seen as many as a big plus and is something that will set your business apart from others. It could mean the difference between landing that top talent or losing out to the competition.
