Can you feel the excitement in the air? It’s nearly time to relax, sit by the Christmas tree and open up some gifts. If you are lucky enough to work somewhere that has a Christmas shut down then here are 5 things you must do before closing for Christmas.
Make sure customers are well aware of when you are closed and when you will be back. Have a notice on your site to inform customers that orders placed while the company is in Christmas shut down will be processed on your return.
*Last delivery for Christmas*
Final orders will be delivered on Friday 20th of December.
Orders received that day or after will be held for delivery until Thursday 2nd of January when our offices re-open.
Out of Office Email
Make sure anyone who tries to contact you over the holidays is aware that your access to work emails is limited or non-existent. If there is a supplier that needs to be aware then make sure they are not going to be left out in the cold.
Is staff being looked after?
Does pay day fall while the shutdown is in action? Make sure accounts are up to speed so there are no nasty surprises over what should be the most relaxing time of the year.
Don’t forget the fridge
On the last day of work, it might be good idea to throw out any unwanted of gone off food. Don’t return in January to a nasty fridge.
Make sure to turn off the Christmas lights! That’s it everyone, 2019 is nearly done. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our customers! We have some big plans for 2020 that we can hopefully share with you soon.
