The days are a lot shorter, the weather is getting even colder and the boss is actually in a good mood, it can only mean one thing…its nearly Christmas. If you travel to any city or visit any shop in December you will see Christmas decorations everywhere, so why not have them in the office? Here are our reasons as to why you should decorate your office this Christmas.

1 Morale boost

Happy staff are productive staff and nothing gives someone a morale boost like Christmas. Some are in it for the gifts; others can’t wait for the Christmas shut down. Either way, the decorations are reminders of what’s to come.

2 Team Work

The act of putting up the decorations will create a camaraderie among staff. Let them work together and decided where best to put everything. It’s a fun way to see how staff interacts with each other in a non-business related task.

3 Because its Christmas

Don’t be a scrooge, Christmas is a time for fun and nothing says fun more than a tree brought indoors and constantly blinking LED’s.

4 Customer Expectations

If your business is in anyway customer facing or has clients arriving on a regular basis then they will almost expect to see some form of Christmas acknowledgement. How odd would it be to walk into another company’s reception area or staff room in late December and not see a tree or lights?

If you’re not decorating the office this Christmas then we’re sure you have your reasons but for the others who are throwing up a few bits and pieces please take this advice; have fun and don’t forget to turn off the lights when you leave.
