Low Cost Office Back to School Guide
With September just around the corner this is usually the time of year where uniforms are purchased, shoes are tried on and school supplies are stocked up on. Little did we know this time last year where the economy would be. Luckily there are some supports out there for anyone worried about the cost of back to school, have you heard about the back to school clothing and footwear allowance?
The Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is a one-off, means-tested payment. It is aimed at helping families with the extra costs of children starting school each autumn.
How Much Is It?
€150 for each eligible child aged 4-11 on or before 30 September 2020
€275 for each eligible child aged 12-22 on or before 30 September 2020.
(Children aged between 18 and 22 years must be in full-time second-level education in a recognised school or college.)
An example- someone who qualifies with three children aged 4 , 7 and 13 would get €575.
Someone with 3 children over 12 would get €825

For just about everything else Low Cost Office has your back. Our Back to School Sale has just kicked off with reductions on our already low prices for the school supplies your kids will need like pens, correction fluid and refill pads. We’re confident that anything not in our back to school sale will still be lower than the competition so you can shop and save today.
There is one elephant in the room that we should not ignore, as of writing this post it is not mandatory to wear a mask in school but many schools are offering students the option if they so choose to wear one. A small stock of face masks in our opinion is a must have as regulations are always subject to change.
One thing that should be blatantly clear by now to all students and parents is the importance of washing your hands. Schools will have hand sanitiser stations but for peace of mind we recommend carrying your own little travel bottle.
This is an evolving situation and whatever happens whether you are studying online, going to class or home schooling we hope that you stay safe. Covid-19 is not gone and we will have to live with it for the next year or so.
